Assignments:
1. A collaborative unit with a teacher – similar to Module 3 in 250; Fulvill Paul Christensen’s requirements as well as Loertscher’s. Choose a topic that is common to teachers all over S.F. if at all possible. Have this unit rich in literature, non-fiction multimedia across a wide range of ability levels. Have this unit critiqued by at least two other class members. It will load on the S.F. wiki for use across the city.
2. All elementary folks help build the S.F. unit for 3rd grades. Again this will go up on the S.F. wiki. Middle and high school folks will select a city wide project to work on.
3. Demonstrate to the class one Web 2.0 tool for use in instructional units.
4. Read, view, and listen to half the topical assignments on the web site for this class. Keep a spreadsheet or wiki of your work. List citation and a brief description or annotation. You may substitute children’s literature titles for YA titles if you wish.
5. Complete monthly reports and see that one other librarian does the same so you will have data to analyze for Dr. Woolls this summer.
6. Sotes
7. Attend class.
